Last Friday, April 29 we attended the Transmodern Festival inside the well know arts warehouse space, the H & H building. Three stories of the building were subdivided into unique galleries for exhibition. The third floor was dedicated to Room’s Play, a trippy, theatrical experience utilizing audience participation. The fifth floor was home to Soft Circuits Sound Installations, an interactive art gallery comprising of artistic electronic displays, and Power Moves Forever Quest, an interactive video performance. The sixth floor featured musical performances by experimental, homemade-instrument-making bands Electric Junkyard Gamelan and Mucca Pazza. This short video offers a taste of Transmodern on Friday night and interviews festival coordinator artist Rebecca Nagle for the night’s breakdown.
