Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts and the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance invited residents, artists and arts and culture community leaders to the Mayor’s Cultural Town Meeting. The meeting took place Thursday, October 14 f at the Baltimore School for the Arts.

Participating panelists address the issue of “Audience Engagement in the Digital Age,” with a focus on the 18-32 year-old age group. Following the discussion Mayor Rawlings-Blake spoke to the state of the arts in Baltimore and shared her vision for and commitment to the arts. The Mayor’s Cultural Town Meeting is a bi-annual event and is free and open to the public.
Panelists included Dr. Carla Hayden, executive director of the Enoch Pratt Free Library, Tom Rowe, media specialist at Visit Baltimore, Femi Lawal, member of the spoken word group, The 5th L and Paul Meecham, president and CEO of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. The panel is moderated by Tom Hall of the Baltimore Choral Arts Society and WYPR 88.1 FM.
