Radar Redux.com is expanding the traditional concept of journalism, to cover a wide array of Baltimore Arts and Culture.
Sandi Wilson is an encaustic painter, and a Vancouver native who now calls Baltimore home. Sandi was first a photographer, but as you will see in this video, her work is now evolving through her experimentation and mixing of acrylic paint and encaustic (or bee’s wax). Sandi’s “bio paintings,” like the one featured here, are usually commissioned in honor of individuals on special occasions. The music featured in this short is a local Baltimore musician, by the name of Darius Scott, playing a piano solo on Lee Morgan’s “Mr. Kenyatta.”
