Radar Redux.com is expanding the traditional concept of journalism, to cover a wide array of Baltimore Arts and Culture. We are a partnership between the Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance, Maryland Institute College of Art, and Johns Hopkins University.

For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf is a choreopoem by Ntozake Shange – essentially a series of monologues by woman of color that incorporates dance and music, both choreographed and improvised. What makes this production unique is that it involves woman from all different stages of life. Co-directed by Kimberley Lynne and Nicolle McQueen, this University of Baltimore production features women with a range of acting experience, from UB staff members who have never set foot on stage before to more seasoned actors. Rain Pryor stars as Lady in Red in this production of the Ntozake Shange classic that benefits the Maryland House of Ruth.
Co-director Lynne offered us the rare opportunity to get a behind the scenes look at a rehearsal for Colored Girls. The following video includes interviews with Directors Lynne and McQueen, cast members Pryor and Antoine Hayes, as well as select monologues.
