DubStep
November 30, 2009 | Tony Ayigah

Baltimore Dub StepDubstep is very big in London yet the music is little known in the United States. Baltimore is one city where the music is gaining recognition. Here the Dubstep scene is rapidly growing and the music is recognized as an exciting and important new genre. Dubstep started in 2000 around London and the UK but really didn’t get popular till about 2006. Its difficult to explain to the uninitiated what it sounds like—think dark slower techno/house, with bass that could melt your face off, breakdowns and transitions that make you want to headbang and dance all night long. DJ joker from the U.K was on the wheels of steel and man did he kill it! If you haven’t heard dub step get with it and check it out and look for another dubnation show also put on by the good fellas at Steeze Promotion some time in December, 2009.
