Saturday Morning Farmers Market
October 5, 2009 | Dana Covit

For Hopkins students or Charles Villagers, the Waverly Farmers Market is a source of a little lovely morning cheer. Located just down 33rd Street near Greenmount Ave., the Waverly Market has a nice, easy selection of fresh veggies and organic goodness, bunches of herbs, dairy products, flower arrangements you can arrange yourself, fruit-infused butter concoctions, and yummy smoothies and mint teas to boot. I had a particularly delicious almond croissant, and picked up some beautiful looking heirloom tomatoes. The bountiful color everywhere, which made for some succulent photos, well, let’s just say it’ll knock Friday night’s pesky hangover to the curb. I say, what better way to start a Saturday?
