While the exhibition was presented in a pristine manner one major problem persisted — the glare off the glass made the work difficult to view. The viewer missed details that made the prints so alluring. A print that suffered the most was one of the exhibitions best works Prisoner’s Cell—a dark print that features prisoner graffiti with texture that reminds the viewer of Paleolithic cave paintings. Unfortunately the poor lighting negatively effects the work. A few minor adjustments and this could be easily fixed.
The artist presented a long statement in explanation of the exhibition that in the end was unnecessary and possibly a distraction. A short and brief explanation would have sufficed. Overall the works are successful, there just needed to be a little more attention paid to the professional aspects of the exhibitions presentation.
